Services - Program and Project Management

Clerus Solutions excels at defining and managing large, complex programs and projects. Under the direction of the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Transportation Cabinet, Clerus defined and managed the nation’s first REAL ID Pilot Program. Under the direction of the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, Clerus defined and currently manages the DL/ID Verification Systems (DIVS) Program. For the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA), Clerus has defined and manages an E-titling Program. For each of these Programs, Clerus was involved from inception, assisting with by-laws and charters, developing program plans, project plans, concepts of operation, acquisition plans, privacy and security plans, and cost and financial plans. Clerus then successfully manages those plans.

Clerus Solutions offers a low cost, vendor neutral, approach to successfully achieve well-defined goals and objectives. From ensuring that all required activities are identified, to devising an achievable schedule, defining reporting parameters, developing communication plans and managing stakeholder expectations - Clerus can provide a means to successfully reach your goals within realistic budget constraints. Planning, execution and management are important to any size project. Clerus Solutions’ staff has significant experience managing projects of various sizes and complexity. From the collaborative development of best practices to the full life cycle development of large scale information systems, Clerus Solutions staff has the experience and industry recognized certification to address your most challenging requirements.

Our experience has shown that each program is unique and therefore, one approach does not fit all. A good fit is typically a balance between resources applied to structured oversight and a practical focus of resources on the ultimate deliverables. One or more experienced Project Management Professionals (PMP) will work with the sponsor and stakeholders to determine the correct fit for the program and each project. The level of resources applied to structured oversight is based on the size, complexity and risks associated with the project. The agreed upon management approach is then documented within the program or project management plan and intuitively presented within the integrated work breakdown structure (WBS). Once the plans are approved, Clerus executes and monitors the plans to closure.

Clerus personnel are PMP certified and have extensive project management experience, particularly with interstate and inter-agency programs. Notably, much of our work has involved getting diverse organizations to work together to achieve common goals. Our experience working on a variety of programs demonstrates expertise in areas such as requirements definition, scalable information system design and integration, standards development, and a sophisticated understanding of information security and privacy issues.
